The MGB has a metal cover to the battery compartment that is well anchord to the
body in five locations.  It should do a very good job of keeping the battery & 
fluids out of the passanger compartment during an accident.  There is really no 
place an MG battery could go assuming the frame that holds the battery is in 
good condition and the metal lid is properly affixed.  I would be easier for a 
seatbelted person to get thrown out of a car.
