It occurs to me that if this subject is to continue much longer, perhaps we should clarify how you identify right and left hand threads by looking at them. If I understand things here, a right-hand thread is what we usually have on bolts; i.e. as you turn the nut or bolt clockwise when viewed from above, it will move away from you. With a left-hand thread, you have to turn it counter-clockwise to see the same movement. Correct? -- Andy |
