Well, I have now seen the commercial in question where the model
removes her clothing to go swimming.

The commercial is for Chic jeans and the car is a red MGA.

So in the last few years, this means I've seen the following
LBCs in various TV commercials:

  - A blue MGB with its hood up and the driver (a woman in a
suit) looking exasperated at the clouds of steam; can't
remember what was being advertised (Prestone?)

  - A red-over-white Big Healey with *its* hood up, steaming,
while the driver (pretty woman with loosely tied blonde hair,
a white shirt, and blue jeans) eats a Washington apple with
appropriate crunching sound effects and the tag line, "They're
    as good as you've heard"

  - A red MGA whose driver appears to have stopped for the purpose
of removing her Chic jeans and taking a morning swim (at least
she stopped the car of her own accord)

  - A BRG Big Healey used in a Valvoline commercial that mentioned
how Sports Car Club of America members preferred Valvoline; what
I found amusing about this is that the ad assumed that the SCCA
actually had anything to do with sports cars

  - A Spitfire in one of those "It's not just your car, it's your
freedom" ads of a year or so ago, also for an unremembered product
    (probably a brand of gasoline)
