Fires and breakdowns: As for keeping some essential tools in your car,
BMWs, Mercedes, and a list of others consider it a good enough idea to
include some essentials in NEW cars, let alone ones with 25 yrs on them.
But ignorance is bliss, and one chooses their roads and the way they are
traveled. In reality, chances are the tools you have may not save you in a
crunch anyway, and fire extinguishers will only help if they are very handy
as things happen very quickly. Please bear in mind that lifting a smoking
hood to put out flames is not without risk of serious injury. While there
were only 2800+ Bricklins, there is only 1 of you.
There are underhood automatic fire systems available which are MUCH safer
but MUCH more expensive.

Carpet: As for carpet, it seems Salesco has finally gotten a hold of
another Bricklin and the pattern and fit, including finished edges,
grommetted dimmer, smooth fit, etc., of their carpets along with their
selection are reportedly superior, despite my inclination for loyalty to our
rebuilders. However, this pattern was obtained with a car that had Tanner's
console installed so you need to inform them if your car has the original or
aftermarket centerpiece.

Radiator hoses: I think Rick of HTC has great prices on his hoses, and his
appear to be well-preserved. Grab 'em while you can, they do NOT last a
lifetime.

Mufflers: By far the quietest and highest quality muffler that resembles
the OEM is available from Bassani. Be careful about using generic dual
inlet outlet mufflers as most are not intended for Crossflow. However, the
Bassani is SS construction so it is not for the frugal. These are the dame
guys that supply Steeda Mustang. If you combine these with Gibson
tailpipes, you can have an exhaust that is pretty, non-restrictive, and
happier neighbors since these are MUCH more quiet than Flowmasters.

Viruseses: It seems viri attacks are in season and Norton and McAfee offer
very good solutions if you keep your files updated and your virus protection
active. Good practices such as not opening attachments help, however, if
using freebies like Outlook Express, some can open immediately upon
accessing the message. Many of these attacks are unintended, but we must
also accept that some are indeed intended. Such is life on the Internet.
