What caused the bottom to drop out on the car, Ed? It couldn't have been the
economy.
This car was very memorable to me, in a way.
Back in late '95, I went into a Chevy dealership to "take a look" at the SS.
The salesman literally kept me captive. Six hours later, while the dealership
was preparing the paperwork for the sale, I called my wife about the purchase.
She went ballistic!!!! She didn't even know I was going to the dealership, let
alone buying a car.
It was all my fault. After much heavy sweating and apology to the dealership,
it was agreed that there would be no sale. I went home to face the music. I
still shudder whenever that day's event come up. It was something that I
couldn't believe would happen, but did.
Happily, I am still married to the same wife. :>)
