The elegant way is to have several circumferential grooves in the bushing
to hold the grease, and fit a Zerk fitting into the shell so that grease
can be pumped in.

The Chevy Pro Parts design for the Corvette is pretty slick, it has the
bushing lined with a nylon or Kevlar web braid, which is slippery of it's
own accord and seems like it would hold graphite powder pretty well - no
grease required.
