This is what I've been running since the 2000 season...
Front Camber: -0.8 degrees [maximum available from the stock suspension -
crash bolts are not legal for the MKI in Stock class, unfortunately]
Front toe: 1/16" out
Caster: max positive
Rear Camber: -1.5 degrees [just about right, methinks]
Rear toe: zero
Now this is a responsive yet somewhat understeering setup. I really
wanted -1.5 degrees camber up front as well but I could not achieve this
legally in stock. If the driver is new to mid-engined cars, this might be a
good starting point as it's a "safe", driveable setup. My MR2 is also my
daily driver, and tire wear has been very even. This season I plan to
finally get some more front camber into the setup with camber bolts and
possibly springs as well, since I have moved on to CSP. I have taken to
making strut and tire pressure adjustments to induce some transitional
oversteer into this setup. Makes for interesting driving at times. ;)
FWIW, mine is an '87 NA with no rear sway bar. '85s and '89 Supercharged
models had a small rear bar, which should help reduce understeer with an
alignment like this.
