Hey, Jason!
I've considered a harness bar for harness purposes, but I don't think it
will address the particular weakness in my chassis that I'm getting at with
the roof. The four point cage would help a lot, but it would also
dramatically affect the daily-driverness of my car, which I value so much.
(I did say I would acquire a second roof before I cut a hole in anything,
didn't I?) Sadly, the clear top was offered as a dealer option but not from
the factory. It's 8 lbs lighter too, so certainly a protestable
modification.
Perhaps I'm taking an entirely backwards approach. I didn't see anything at
all in the rule book about DRIVER modification. Perhaps I should just take
out a few vertebrae and lower my head a few notches.
