Pat and Kevin,
For most of 2000 we were using the Fresno Air National Guard parking lot at
the airport. In the fall they started some construction and we lost the
site to the bulldozers. We were fortunate enough to get the use of an
incredible site at Millerton Lake -- the upper boat lot. It had
everything - picnic tables, clean restrooms, good drinking water, shady
hills to view the course, great surface, etc. Before our season finale we
lost the site -- reasons cited included noise (??) and tire marks covering
the white painted lines. We had lost the priveledge of using Castle earlier
in the year, but apparently now it has come under new management so we are
approaching them to see if we can work something out. We are also in the
process of seeing if we can negotiate for some use of the Millerton Lake
site again. The Porsche and BMW clubs also use(d) this site.
There is always Lemoore, if that is available for more than just the Pros.
We will find *something*! :)
