Nope, on Elans, the top of the shock is close to the fiberglass, not
the frame, of the fenderwell.  On the cars in question, the shocks
poked a hole in said fiberglass.  Some of the cars (such as the
Carle's) were using shorter shocks than others, so the hole wasn't as
relevant.
