The attraction for me is simple.  I like fast street cars. 
I like to drive fast street cars fast.  There aren't too many 
places you can do that legally these days.  

If I had a real race car, I'd be really racing it at Nelson
Ledges, Mid-Ohio or wherever.  Just my take.
