I don't know why so many people get hung up on racing on street tires. I know
that I certainly don't want to do that. A good set of street tires for my
car, Camaro Z28, cost between $200 and $250 PER TIRE!!! This cannot be
cheaper than running on R tires. Also there is a huge fun factor to racing on
decent rubber.
If you can't afford new R tires, try buying some used ones from some of the
other members in your region. I have actually given away used R tires for
FREE. (No I currently do not have any available to give away.)
