Pax,

I'm not in corporate marketing so I may be totally off base.. but I'd
imagine that one of the companies already sponsoring the Nascar teams would
love to have the added publicity of a successful female driver. Maybe
instead of showing Craftsman... they'd use Sears as the titled sponsor. Or
one of the automakers trying to push their "Nascar sedan" at a female
demographic.

And a company already deeply committed to motorsport advertising will
understand that there are enormous costs and that results aren't
guaranteed.... and might be willing to show extra support to showcase their
progressive thinking.

Whereas a company more used to print and tv advertising might find it harder
to keep throwing $$$ at a racing effort (less tangible results).

Anyone out there with corporate sponship experience want to jump in?

Jim
-who can't even get a corporation to keep him... much less sponsor him :(
