Thanks all for the advice,
    I've tried everything except an impact wrench and I still can't get the
thing off. I'll borrow a buddies compressor and wrench this week and I think
then I'll have it off.

  It does not have reverse threads - i got mine loose by padding the end of a
breaker bar against a solid place and bumping the starter.
  BTW threads on that bolt are fine threads - it IS possible to strip those
  threads when you put it back in and a fine thread tap and die that big
  is hard to find - guess how i know this.
