I've had the cylinder head off the PI - replacing valve guides etc - and now
I'm ready to put the
head back on the block, but the studs (7/16) are a bit on the sorry side (I did
some welding on a
couple of them!!). Is using s/h ones Ok?, as I'm having some problems getting
new ones. I've read
about 190,000psi (grade 9+) but at US$130+ they're a bit more than I'd like to
pay!!!
Also, is modifying high-grade bolts an option?
What's the best thing to do?
