Just a brief note for the moment, I can't help with the estste car bits I'm
afraid
but I do sprint and hillclimb (as opposed to out and out racing) a 1971 PI
sedan over
here in WA. It's not outrageously modified but does well in it's class and
suprises a lot
of people. I'm still developing things but something I have had a problem
with since day one
is understeer. Not too bad now but still not perfect. My current suspension
spec is as follows
200/400 lb progressive rate front springs -40mm (1.5 degrees negative
camber)
Gas pressurized front shocks (non adjustable)
2500S anitiroll bar
430lb rear springs -40mm (2-3 degrees negative camber)
adjustable shocks
Rear sway bar approx 18mm thick
Decambered trailing arms (late shackle on outside)
Polyureathane bushes throughout
Quaife LSD (3.7:1) and roller bearing driveshafts
205/60*15 Dunlop W10's on 7*15 Minilites
Car is unlightened but has battery in the boot
Power at present approx 135-140bhp at the wheels (15.9sec 1/4 mile)
Any suggestions on spring rates and sway bars would be appreciated
