- I have a stock 59 GMC V8 if anybody's lookin for a core think its a 336 some pontiac variation says GMC on valve covers tho so sure its stock this is motor listed on the vin plate on my 59 GMC 2 ton

- Does anyone know how similar this 336 is to a 389, 400 or 455? I'm wondering if those valve covers would work on the later bigger motor. sure put oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built bet

- Valve cover GASKETS are the same from 55 (the first Pontiac/GMC V8) until Pontiac quit making their own V8 around 1980. Early 60's Pontiac valve covers were shorter than the 55-59 (maybe later) cover
