Most engine stands come with adjustable dogs that allow any engine hole arrangements to align with the the stand. Doesn't yours have these items? There should be four of them. Joe /// /// triumphs@au

Pouya, I've had my TR250 since April of 1984 and have removed the transmission at least 20 times, probably more. The easiest way to remove the transmission is to first remove the seats, the tunnel,

Not being an owner of a 250, I can only guess that he needed to pull the tranny to get the engine out of the engine bay. If he disassemled it to remove, I would be hard pressed to say why. As always
