My son and I put chrome bumpers on his '80 Spit. It required a little metal work on the front bumper mounts but it was more cosmetic that functional. There was a large brace that needed to be remove

Yes, it can be done. I did it on my 1980 Spitfire. The rears are a simple bolt on. For the front, you've got two flavors for the approach. Technique one is to simply cut a notch in the big brace piec
