- Every one I've ever seen ( not that very many) had the splined section forward. JOE IV TR 250

- Spline in the front of the propeller shaft, sleeve and sliding yoke in the rear. Of course it will fit the other way but usually the extra vibration is quite noticeable. Bob

- The factory manual for my GT6 (the one with the red vinyl cover) says to be sure to install it with the sliding joint to the REAR. I have installed mine both ways and haven't noticed any difference
