- If it were me I would be searching the junk (used parts) yards, the after market products are in no way close to the quality, thickness or exact castings as the original, and the price is much better

- second book because I own a TR4 and and a TR6. IMHO you can't go wrong with either. The second book goes into more detail with more photos, good for someone doing a restoration. They are my favorite

- Powder is the only way to go, you "cannot" chip P/C unless you use a hammer/chisel, the stone guards on my T/R 3 have been P/Ced for 12 years now and I have ==2== rock dents on each side, but no chip
