Well folks, I need some help - again. Somehow or other, the alternator currently (!) on my TR6 has a pulley that's too small for the fan belt being used. The fan belt is also getting a bit worn, so I

It seems that the mail route from the mail server to AOL is blocked somewhere along the line. I doubt that I'll even know whether or not this message gets out. Until it gets resolved, would someone b

John: I'd say that depends on where it's leaking from. If from the bottom of the reservoir I'd say a rebuild should be fine. If from the rear, where the MC mates with the vacuum servo, then rebuildin

I apologize for bringing this up again, but almost all of your previous mail to me regarding my TR6 fan belt fiasco never reached me. Hopefully the netmail demons (daemons?) will be nicer to me this

My '72 TR6 originally had an O/D unit. I can tell because the badge and steering column control are there, even if the O/D unit itself isn't. I'm looking for a unit for it, but have some questions. T

I've spent a LOT of time on my 6's brakes the past month or so. Don't know how much I can help, but I'll try... The sticking piston doesn't sound too unusual. If I remember correctly one of my manua

I did some very quick tests on the charging system of my TR6 and thought I would look for some comments. I've been wondering if my gauge problem is due to the charging system or the voltage stabilize

Chris: What kind of hazard flasher switch do you have? On my '72 TR6 I took my switch apart and found that all of the contacts had oxidized severely. After I cleaned up the contacts everything worked

Yep. Remove the PDWA warning switch and find yourself a piece of thin but fairly stiff wire. (I used a paper clip.) Under the warning switch is a brass gizmo that has a small chunk out of it. This n

No flames intended... Although I agree that the warning light is a good idea, I do question its usefulness. Speaking from experience, you will notice a brake problem at least as soon as the PDWA warn

I had the exact same problem with my TR6. At the very least you will need to rebuild your master cylinder. The brake fluid is leaking from your MC and is now trying to fill up your vacuum servo (boo

What I was referring to was the tendency of the PDWA to warn you of a brake problem long after the problem actually occured. I had a rear brake cylinder leak, and the PDWA never came on. It's possib
