I have Developed a loud whine in my generator, I had it looked over by an alternator shop earlier they rebuilt the bearings s and brushes. I am thinking about converting to an alternator, will it fit

Why replace the alternator? They are good for at least 60K miles and sometimes 100K. The only draw back is the inherent no charge at idle that all generators have. It sounds like one of the bearings

I would just find an old Auto Electric shop that looks old, then look for an old codger in the back (probably the new owners dad.) If you can find a shop like that with a guy like that, chances are
