If you use a true MKII gearbox, not the Fairlane, it will have two bolt patterns where it attaches to the bellhousing. All you would have to change is the input bearing collar to change between the 5

Yes, that's the correct torque. 18 ft. lbs. is what I use. You're right that it doesn't seem like much, but they're only 5/16" bolts. Put some blue loctite on there too. Bruce McGuire

I cleaned out the tanks & crossover pipes, then used the Bill Hirsch stuff. It's FAA approved and alchohol resistant. I did this in 1989 and so far, so good. Bruce McGuire

Per Ford manual: Clutch pressure plate - 23 - 28 ft lbs. Bell housing to block - 40 - 50 ft lbs. If you didn't put sealer on the flywheel to crank bolts, do it again now rather than later. Bruce McGu
