I just had a frustrating time with a replacement water drain tap on the block of my 948. This is the second one I have gotten that leaks. First of all, it says it is made in Taiwan, with a Union Jack

Where does it leak? At the Tap, or at the threads? If it's the threads, a thread sealer should stop it. Try teflon tape. If it's the tap, I have one that was not leaking when I removed it. LM --Origi

If you have been buying from MOSS, don't blame me. Your problem is "Made In Taiwan" Sold by Moss!!! I learned my lesson over 10 years ago but I still get chinese junk filtering in from moss wannabes.

I've had the problem with this type of valve, and solved it by doing the following: Disassemble the valve by removing the cotter pin, spring, and stop plate from the bottom and pulling upward on the

Why not take the new drain tap and fill the inside of the threaded shaft with epoxy? You know the threads match and I am certain you could effectively plug the tap prior to the valve. Would save you
