- The headlamps on my car stink. I think they're ancient b/c the PO didn't drive this car very often, and never at night, so he had no need of getting new ones. I however do drive it during the evening

- Hi Trisha, I use plain old halogens. No conversion necessary, and they put out much more light than the old style headlamps. They cost about $8 - 9 on sale at most stores. Kate

- In fairness to the folks at LBCarCo. The halogens they sell are not (exclusively) headlights. They carry halogen bulbs for taillights, turn indicators, even dash bulbs! Also, there are two ways to go

- I have seen set-ups for 120 watts dipped (legal in the US only for offroad use). Still, Yowtch!!! I don't doubt that you've melted a few plastic bumpers. Shoot, I bet you could grill hamburgers! :-)
