Hal, Do like I do. Break the lock with something like a chisel or large screw driver. As soon as the lock is no longer usable, your key will suddenly appear. Somebody (I think - Murphy) came up with

What I did the one time this happened to me was. Remove the steering column, take it to the locksmith, get a key made. Assembly is opposite of removal. Brad -- www.myspace.com/tequilabrad

The key code is stamped on the front of the ignition. FP 7?? Take that number to a lock smith and have him cut one. Ir push in the pins and (as the book says) slide off the knob. 40+ years of grit d
