- Tappet clearance is .012 cold. Spec page also shows .015 for "competition work" however. Plug gap should be .026 so .040 seems pretty wide. 12 flats down is a starting point for adjustment and will

- The plug gap should be .025 on a stock point's dizzy. Dead front plugs may be due to a front carb problem. Check for a stuck float needle. Also a cracked dizzy cap may be the culprit. -- Frank Claric
