- Well, after the oil filter fiasco, I got everything back together, and the Spit runs real well now. One question, how do I prevent the dashpot oil from leakin' out on a Stromberg 150CDT carb? it seem

- Mine was leaking, and I replaced the little O-ring deep inside the dashpot that seals the bottom end, there the adjustable needle is mounted. It helps to have a detailed diagram of the Stromberg carb

- Maybe there were pieces of the old o ring still in there? I spent lotsa time cleaning that surface and was rewarded by a successful repair. I use an old eyedropper (actually from a cat-vitamin jar).
