Trevor, The 1147's engine serial number has a prefix of "FC", the 1296 has a prefix of "FD or FDU" !! Bill

Jason, you have a early 1962 Spitfire!! They srarted out with in 1962 with Chassis number FC1. Then in 1965 they started the MK2's with # FC50001. The engine number you list is not a valid number!!??
