My valve cover pan gasket continues to function well for seven years now. Its the old thick cork type and I sealed it to the head, but not to the pan!! The pan is then easily removed without destroying the gasket and have never found any leakage. I adjust the valves frequently to assure they are set at exactly .018. You may want to try this and save a lot future scrapping and mess?? Bill McDevitt. 64-MK1 |
