- The engine does spin a few times, but there is no ignition and it grinds to a halt. So I think the solinoid is OK. I will be taking the starter off over thanksgiving to get an eye on the pinion gear,

- I'm in the process of putting one of these on my spit. Not original, but cheap and (hopefully) good enough. Looks like it'll fit just fine. A few notes: mine came without studs, so you'll need 3 5/16
