A general question, when I drive at high RPM for extended times my oil usage seems high. Those of you who drive your cars at 70-80MPH for an hour or more at a time, what sort of oil usage do you see?

I didn't get too many responses on my oil usage question. Does anyone have an idea of how much oil they use during freeway driving? I'm going through a lot and I'm trying to figure out what's normal.

I have had great luck with the Red Line MT90 product. Better syncro action and no cold weather stiffness.

Good Idea. My Harley primary chain cover has a gasket available that is a thick material that has a bead of silicone on both sides. It seals well and is reusable.

I'd like something that doesn't leak but also can be removed without leaving a mess to clean up. The RTV that I'm using now doesn't leak but when I have to take the pan off again (soon unfortunately)

I had the same feeling seeing a white 1500 on the 580 going over the Altamont, unfortunately the Spit was OOC and I was driving my Jeep.

My shop manual (Triumph Spitfire 1500 Manual. Part No. RTC 9230. Issue 1.) says the rear axle ratio is 3.89:1. I think I would prefer a 3.63 or 3.27 to get the commuter fast lane rpm down to 3000 or
