I have not done the switch you are referring to but have installed a tilt in my other old truck with the mustang rack and pinion. that had a one piece unit. I suspect you will have to cut the column

Where on the lower shaft? Because you also have to cut the outer tube housing of the column. Where do you put the support Bearing does it go in the leftover tube? Is it a support like what Borgeson o

Robert, If you were replacing the steering gear box with a newer one and using the stock steering column, then you would need to use a bearing in the bottom of the column to keep the inter shaft inli
