The glove box door is stainless steel on the 50 chevy. Are you saying that the raised ribbed areas were stainless steel & not painted silver to look the same as the ribbs on the dash. I would think

I started this whole controversy regarding the dash panel painting. It sounds as though the entire radio grille cover was painted the same as the interior color. I will go ahead with this color schem

It seems that the consensus from those dealing with original trucks is that the radio grill is painted the same as interior color. I am still not sure about glove box door-- was is all polished stain
