- If you take the manifold off and separate it from the intake you can see the flapper tack welded to the shaft. If you grind the tacks off and remove the flapper you MAY be able to drive the shaft out

- Automagic or standard? Auto is likely hydraulic while standard may not be. Air getting into the suction side of the oil pump can be a problem on these and cause noisy lifters at/after highway speeds
