- Me too. It seems to take a couple of thousand miles before new shoes stop wearing fast. The car stops OK but the handbrake lever travel gets excessive, so it's time to adjust again. I use a 1/4 inch

- A 1/4" 8 point 1/4" drive socket works very well given the limited space for travel of any tool in there. They are sold separately also so you don't have ot buy a whole set of 8 pts. Chad Cooper

- Well, if you want your e-brake to snug up on the 3rd click, yeah, you have to keep on it. I tend to let 'em go until it rolls away on me <g>... I park in soft level dirt so it isn't going anywhere. T

- No more often than the usual 3k service intervals, at which I completely dismantle clean and grease all the metal bits so they need adjusting from scratch anyway. Rarely have to adjust the handbrake

- I adjust mine when the hand brake won't hold the car when parked facing the top of a steep incline. Cheers, CR
