Me too. It seems to take a couple of thousand miles before new shoes
stop wearing fast. The car stops OK but the handbrake lever travel gets
excessive, so it's time to adjust again.
I use a 1/4 inch gas-tank wrench, something that a lister suggested.
Works pretty well, though a store-bought brake adjusting wrench would
probably be better.
