- How would one know whether the radio is 4 or 8 ohms? It's not marked, and the OEM speaker is long gone. The speaker I have tested is also unmarked. Bob

- If you measure the DC resistance with a multimeter, the CD resistance is usually about 3/4 of impedance. So if it reads 3 ohms, it's likely a 4, if it reads about 6 ohms, it's likely an 8. -- Trevor
