I take it you're replacing the kingping bushes/seals as well? Otherwise Joe's suggestion of using a spring compressor means you wouldn't have to undo the trunnion bolts. Get the V8 bushes. Use a vice

Thanks for all the suggestions, I took out the valve and used a rope tourniquet around the tire but it still wouldn't seat with the wimpy gas station compressor. I ended up taking it to a tire shop.

Yes, the generator must be re-polarized. Connect the battery up pos ground, and disconnect the two wires from the back of the genny. Then flash the small terminal (F) of the generator with a hot wire
