I don't think that compression is your problem. Those numbers are not that low...... Perhaps you are burning the oil from loos bvalve guides or bad valve seals......... Randy Kegg

How about fuel starvation? Check your carb float levels and the output from your fuel pump. You should be pumping at 1.5 to 2 psi. A weak pump will cause the problem you describe. ( so will a few oth

Good Point ! I had forgotton about this. If it is plugged, it will force a leak. Also, I have found that it is not a good idea to overfill the differential. I keep mine about 1/2 inch below the fill
