Point well taken, Jim. But you can spring a beam wrench too. Not as easy, I'm sure. My 1/2" clicker is a Craftsman Micro-Adjusting, blah, blah, over 20 years old. I just looked at the warranty sheet.

I believe cost is the major factor in what kind of replacement is installed. If the owner can afford it, I firmly believe that the original pump is the best way to go. It's what I did on my '69 B and
