Does it stop immediately after releasing the starter? If so the ballast resister may have opened up, after started the current flows thru the ballast resister before it gets to the coil. Jerry Rein /

I had the same problem on my Europa, the wire going to the sending unit was grounded causing full movement of the gauge, plus my sending unit was also bad. Disconnect the wire from gauge that goes to

I just found out the wheel bearings in my Midget are ball bearings, they were loose and I tried to tighten them, no go. I can get the bearing locally, are the standard bearings on the Midget tapered

Guess what. The bearings go on nicely only problem is the tapered roller bearing is approximately 1/8 wider so the rotor doesn't go on as far and when bolting the brake calipers on it wont fit. That
