- John & all, FWIW, I've had no problems using POR 15 on any surface, as long as I followed the POR instructions to the letter. If you have a really smooth, bare steel surface to deal with, try misting

- Given that the critical measure is that of piston speed, I'd assume that the wear on pistons, rings, and cylinder walls is the primary concern, not bearings & journals. Regards, Carl Fritz TC #6756
