My rebuilt speedometer seems to read exactly half what it should e.g. at about 40 mph it reads 20 mph. I wonder if it might be because I have a PA gearbox instead of a J2 one. The box has 4768 and un

Your gearbox ratios ( 8/14) are correct for J2, PA speedo ratio is 4/10. A common problem with J2 & L owners is that the later Jaeger chronometric speedos need a step up box which looks very much li
