- Yesterday as I tore my engine down to replace the camshaft I noticed my timing chain had excessive slop in it . This chain was put in only last winter and the total mileage couldn't exceed 4000miles.

- My limited experience with this says that some of the roller chains stretch quicker than the stock type chains. I always let them sit overnight in a can of oil before installing to help breakin. I'm

- I agree with Howard. Also if you check the cam timing now that the chain is stretched and adjust accordingly, the cam timing will more than likely stay put for a long time. It works for me. Skip Hig

- I have been running Jesel Belt Drive's ... the hype is they dampen out the harmonic's between the Crank and the Valvetrain.... Biggest reason I saw to run them was the adjustability allowed in Cam Ti
