Hmmm, I only use about 10 lbs of argon pressure for regular steel. Sometime more when I'm putting a fat bead on thick aluminum, really it depends on the size of the cup. FWIW I've tried diffusers too

Some people don't relies is you don't need a big fancy welding machine to tig weld on carbon and stainless steel. If you have a DC welder all you need is a tig torch, a flow meter and a bottle of arg

It takes good strength (for positioning) and Good eyes (depth perception) to tig especially, mig not so much. Old guys take heed!
