Actually, it's 36 volts nominal, using 18 lead-acid battery cells, but the running voltage is 42 volts. Just like in a "12-volt" car, when the car's running the system should measure close to 14 volt

Figures the Germans would call it 42 volts, instead of 36. Must be a good size battery? Hmmm, more balast for racers. John B trucks all horizon. !!!!!! !!!!

Checked on 42 volts today, they claim they need this voltage to address the amperage demand of all electronic accessories. More voltage, less amps !!!!!! It is coming sooner than we think !!! Better
