As long as you properly prepare (clean) and tin the faces to be joined soldering steel to the brass radiator tanks is quite easy. Lay yhe radiator flat on the bench, take your time and don't overheat

The top of the shroud is about 1/4 inch down fro the top of the tank. The bottom tips of the small flange are up about 1/4 inch from the tank seam. So I guess center it top to bottom is what I'm sayi
