- I also recommend a digital gauge and possibly switching over to nitrogen. Nitrogen doesn't react to temperature changes as much as regular air does. I'm assuming your using the old "stick" type press

- Sounds like the piston rings were replaced without removing the ridge at the top of the cylinders causing the compression rings to break at top dead center and in time damage the upper ring lands. I
